Finance Director
DUNCAN MCALEAR
Duncan is Hamberley’s Finance Director, a Chartered Accountant with over 16 years’ experience working for different healthcare groups under private equity ownership. He joined Hamberley in 2015 from Spire Healthcare Group plc, a FTSE 250 healthcare group, having worked on their Initial Public Offering in 2014 plus a number of significant property transactions including the 2013 £700m sale of assets to the Employee’s Provident Fund (Malaysia). Duncan was also part of the team that set up Classic Hospitals when it purchased 9 hospitals from Bupa in 2005 turning it into an independent hospital group which was then sold to Spire in 2008 for £140m.
Duncan holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Management Science from Stirling University and is a Chartered Accountant.
